Billy Ray Cyrus praised his daughters Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus for their musical endeavors two months after rumors of estrangement surfaced.
“Holy s–t . I seldom ever swear in my post but this deserves one!” he captioned side-by side photos of his daughters on Instagram Tuesday.
“You are witnessing in real time what it feels like for a Dad who with in less than one weeks time has had his ass kicked and his mind blown by not one …but two of his own daughters @mileycyrus @noahcyrus .”
The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer, 63, went on to congratulate Miley, 32, and Noah, 25, for “completely taking their art to a whole new level.”
“I’m so damn proud of both of you,” he added. “I’m actually crying as I write this. Thank God you can’t see me. Have fun now and be happy ! 😊 Love Dad.”
Rumors of a family rift began two months ago when Billy Ray’s adopted son, Trace Cyrus, publicly expressed how “genuinely worried” he was after seeing his father’s disastrous performance at President Trump’s inauguration.
“Since my earliest memories all I can remember is being obsessed with you and thinking you were the coolest person ever. I wanted to be just like you. The day you adopted me was the happiest day of my life,” Trace, 36, wrote via Instagram Jan. 22.
“Sadly the man that I wanted so desperately to be just like I barely recognize now. It seems this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone but you,” he continued.
Trace specifically mentioned Noah and claimed that she “desperately has wanted” for him to “be a part of her life,” but he has “not been there for her.”
“That’s your baby girl,” he wrote. “She deserves better. Somehow just like me she still idolizes you though. We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew & hoping for the day he returns.”
Billy Ray has yet to publicly address Trace’s concerns, but he shared via Instagram that he was “praying” for his “family” and “children” just a few days later.
Sources also told Page Six that all of Billy Ray’s children –– except Braison –– “signed off” and “all agreed” on the message before Trace posted it.
Last month, Billy Ray also shared an Instagram photo of him and Noah hanging out. However, it’s unclear when he last spent time with his other children.
In addition to Miley, Trace, and Noah, Billy Ray is the father of adopted daughter, Brandi Cyrus, 37, and son Braison, 30, with ex-wife Tish Cyrus.
He also shares son Christopher, 32, with ex-girlfriend Kristin Luckey.
