What Morgan Wallen said before ‘SNL’ exit: lip reader

Morgan Wallen seemed pleased with his “Saturday Night Live” appearance prior to his abrupt exit.

Lip reader Nicola Hickling broke down Wallen’s headline-making interaction with host Mikey Madison after the country singer came under fire for walking off the stage at the end of this weekend’s episode.

“Thank you all so much,” Wallen, 31, said to the cast and crew, adding that he had “a wonderful time,” according to Hickling for Slingo.

The Grammy nominee purportedly repeated his thanks while hugging Madison.

The “Anora” star, 26, replied, “Chatting to you was really good,” per the expert.

After Wallen walked away mid-credits, the camera panned over the cast members’ conversations — including Colin Jost jokingly telling someone, “You gotta remember how he is feeling,” according to Hickling.

The “Last Night” crooner appeared to skip the NBC show’s afterparty, instead sharing an Instagram Story photo of his private jet.

“Get me to God’s country,” he captioned Sunday’s social media upload.

“SNL” writer Josh Patten later trolled Wallen by posting a picture of a Krispy Kreme truck parked in New York City with the back open.

Patten copied Wallen’s caption word-for-word in his shady Story.

He clarified to a curious fan that he is a fan of the songwriter’s music — and proved this with a screenshot of his top Apple Music songs in 2023.

Wallen performed “I’m the Problem” and “Just in Case” during his second “SNL” appearance.

Sources close to NBC told TMZ on Monday that there is “no bad blood” between the “Voice” alum and the network.

In fact, the insiders said they would have him back on and chalked his viral departure up to “an awkward moment.”

Wallen reportedly exited the stage the same way during rehearsals.
