Sydney Sweeney defends selling her bath water soap, despite haters

Sydney Sweeney proudly stands by her decision to sell her bath water to fans through her recent collaboration with Dr. Squatch’s soap brand.

At the NYC premiere of her forthcoming movie, “Echo Valley,” the actress responded to a reporter who stated that her business endeavor encourages men to “take showers.” She said, “I mean, honestly though.”

“I think that it’s more fun to see everybody else talk about it,” Sweeney added when asked what she thought about fan’s mixed reactions to the stunt.

The “Euphoria” star, 27, admitted that it was in fact her idea to use the left over suds from a previous campaign with Dr. Squatch and that she “pitched” the idea of a bar of soap with a “splash” of her bath water.

Meanwhile, she turned heads while walking the carpet in a strapless red ballgown by Vera Wang and wore her long blond hair down in waves.

Later that night, Sweeney changed into a red midi off-the-shoulder dress, which she paired with red high pumps.

The “White Lotus” star announced her Dr. Squatch partnership last week, with the limited-edition soap bars available to shop tomorrow.

“When your fans start asking for your bathwater, you can either ignore it, or turn it into a bar of Dr.
Squatch soap,” she said in a press release for the brand.

“It’s weird in the best way, and I love that we created something that’s not just unforgettable, it actually smells incredible and delivers like every other Dr. Squatch product I love,” Sweeney added.

“Hopefully, this helps guys wake up to the realities of conventional personal care products and pushes them towards natural.”

The brand shared that the soap, which includes pine bark extract and exfoliating sand, “channels two of the best places on Earth: the great outdoors and Sydney Sweeney’s bathtub.”

Sweeney is newly single after breaking off her engagement and six-year romance with Jonathan Davino.

During an interview with the Sunday Times last month, she admitted to “loving” the latest chapter in her life — and she’s clearly having fun with her rabid fans, too.
