Morgan Wallen trolled by ‘SNL’ writer after fleeing show to go to ‘God’s country’

Morgan Wallen was trolled by “Saturday Night Live” writer Josh Patten after the singer abruptly fled the sketch comedy show’s stage while the credits rolled.

Over the weekend, Patten took to his Instagram Stories to post an image of a Krispy Kreme truck with the back end open.

He wrote atop the photo: “get me to God’s country,” the same caption the country singer used alongside a picture of a private jet after his botched “SNL” exit.

When a fan questioned whether Patten was a fan of Wallen, he replied by posting a screenshot of his top Apple Music songs from 2023, which consisted of several tracks from the crooner’s third studio album, “One Thing at a Time.”

“How quickly the media forgets 2023,” the comedy writer wrote.

Patten’s post came after Wallen, 31, made headlines for fleeing the “SNL” stage as the credits rolled.

Wallen made headlines for awkwardly fleeing the “SNL” stage as the credits rolled.

Toward the end of the show, host Mikey Madison thanked the “Whiskey Glasses” singer for joining her as the musical guest.

As the “SNL” cast began cheering and celebrating another completed episode, Wallen exchanged a few words with the “Anora” actress, 26, gave her a one-armed hug and walked straight down the aisle without acknowledging the other comedians.

It’s usually customary for the host and the musical guest to mingle and chat with the “SNL” stars on stage after the show wraps.

Though a source close to Wallen told TMZ that his abrupt exit was an accident and that he meant nothing by it, fans labeled the country music star a “loser” and a “little bitch” for “storming” off the stage.

In 2020, he was disinvited to join “SNL” as a musical guest when he broke COVID-19 protocols by partying and kissing women.

The following year, Wallen was caught on video using the N-word.

Additionally, he has been arrested several times for a range of misconduct, including driving under the influence, public intoxication and reckless endangerment.
