No one loves to shimmer quite like Mariah Carey.

The Grammy-winning singer attended the BET Awards 2025 on Monday night in not one but two dazzling dresses.

After skipping the red carpet at the Peacock Theater, Carey, 56, wowed the crowd by appearing on stage to perform her new song, “Type Dangerous,” clad in a metallic gold mini dress with an asymmetric hemline.

The “Emotions” singer piled on plenty of statement jewelry, including oversized sparkly hoops and a stack of equally flashy silver bracelets, completing the outfit with coordinating gold platform heels.

For her beauty look, Carey kept it simple with pin-straight hair and her signature glam makeup.

Later in the evening, the musician emerged back on stage to accept the BET Ultimate Icon Award, switching out of her gold number and into a long, glittery silver gown.

“It took me a while, but I finally realized life is far too short to live for anyone else’s approval, which is something I always did,” she said on stage.

“Thank you so much, so I decided to own who I am. My extra-ness, my fabulousness, and yes, my success and my iconic-ness, I guess, that’s what they’re telling me tonight and I appreciate it!”
