John F. Kennedy’s grandson, Jack Schlossberg, joked he was having a baby with JD Vance’s wife, Usha Vance.
“I’m having a son !! So excited about this. Cannot wait for the birth of my next child because today was the best day of my life. Out of wedlock, yes. But we might get married,” Schlossberg, 32, claimed on X Sunday.
Vogue’s political correspondent then shared a screenshot of the post to his Instagram with the caption, “We named Jason Schlossberg ! 5 lbs 0 ounces. April 6, 2025.”
He then followed up with an Instagram photo of the second lady, 36, holding a child that had Schlossberg’s face Photoshopped on.
“Little Jason and his mom — You never feel like you’re ready to be a parent,” he captioned the post, adding, “Until one day, you become one.”
He later clarified any confusion about the razz by sharing in an Instagram post Monday, saying, “The joke is that I’m capable of producing a male heir.”
The pointed jest came just months after the journalist asked fans if they thought Usha was “hotter” than his late grandma and former first lady, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
“True or false: Usha Vance is way hotter than Jackie O?” he asked via X during President Trump’s inauguration ceremony on Jan. 20.
One netizen replied to Schlossberg’s inquiry, claiming that Usha was “a little hotter than Jackie.”
“I think we can both agree that they are two *very* foxy ladies, am I right Jack, my man???” the social media user weighed in.
The Harvard graduate told his fan he “really appreciate[s] this take.”
The writer then followed up by admitting that he was a “literal pervert” after being hit with backlash over the strange question about his grandmother’s appearance.
“I called my grandmother hot … have I totally lost it ?” he asked on X, adding, “Jesus … this kid will do anything for attention. Your grandfather would be ashamed. Seriously. Time to get a job.”
Several X users dragged the son of Edwin Schlossberg, 79, and Caroline Kennedy, 67, encouraging him to seek help.
“Gonna be honest man, I think most people don’t do hotness rankers involving their grandmas,” one person commented, while another wrote, “it’s not too late to delete this.”
Schlossberg is the only grandson of Jackie O, who died in 1994 at age 64, and JFK, who was assassinated in 1963 at 43.
