Jennifer Hudson ‘can’t stand’ low-rise jeans

You’ll never catch Jennifer Hudson in a pair of low-rise jeans.

On a segment called “In-fit or Out-fit” during a recent episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” the host, 43, made her stance on the Gen Z-approved trend loud and clear.

When an image of a woman wearing the silhouette appeared on the screen behind her, Hudson confessed, “I can’t stand low-rise jeans. Y’all would be like, ‘What is wrong with Jennifer?’”

“First of all, I like my pants up here,” she continued as she signaled to her chest. “I’m sorry. I do. Okay?”

As the audience burst into laughter, Hudson quipped, “Whoever came up with that, you can keep it.”

According to the comments, the majority of fans are right there with her. “It makes all moms a bitter bitch, boo 😂,” one person joked. Another follower was in full agreement, writing, “I like mines up my stomach to Jennifer.”

The low-slung silhouette first reared its head in the early 2000s, with celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton endorsing the trend.

As of late, Gen Z fashion folks are trying to put the style back on the map. Despite their efforts, millennials like Hudson haven’t been easy to persuade.

And the same goes for Gen X — just ask Jessica Chastain, who recently expressed her views on low-slung denim.

“I know this is coming back, but the low-rise jeans, I hate,” she said in an interview with Elle Spain last week.

“And I hate when you see someone’s underwear. I think it’s so tacky, like when it’s like a G-string. I think it’s horrific,” the actress added.
